OutbidX terms of service
Review OutbidX terms, bidding commitments, payment requirements and organizer responsibilities before using the auction platform.

Organizer and bidder responsibilities, auction commitments, payments and the steps through winner pickup.
Privacy · Terms · Refunds and cancellations · Contact support
1. Service and payment mode
These terms cover OutbidX auction software and its account, listing and event tools. Read the privacy policy and each organizer’s event/listing conditions before participating. OutbidX supplies the platform; the identified organizer or seller supplies the goods, services or event benefits.
The current release uses Stripe TEST mode. Test charges, balances, receipts and payouts simulate activity; they are not real funds or proof of a charitable gift. Do not advertise this preview as ready to collect money. Real events require a separately activated live deployment and verified live seller connection.
2. Eligibility and account responsibility
You must be at least 18, have reached your local age of majority and have authority to participate. Using the service for an organization requires its permission. Supply accurate information and protect email, sign-in links and devices.
Do not impersonate bidders, bypass event access, share accounts to defeat roles or use another person’s payment method without permission. Report suspected account misuse. Organizers must control staff permissions and explain their responsibilities.
3. Organizer and seller responsibilities
Before inviting bidders, obtain owner/donor permission and publish accurate descriptions, condition, restrictions, redemption deadlines and photos. Identify the seller and provide event contacts, bidding settings, tax treatment, return/cancellation conditions and pickup or shipping arrangements.
Organizers are responsible for authority to sell, fulfillment, permits, tax registrations/records, donor restrictions and privacy of information collected independently. Stripe onboarding does not certify authenticity, charitable status or legal eligibility.
Do not change material sale conditions after bids without a lawful basis and appropriate notice. Verify payment and pickup status before release and reconcile purchases with seller payment records.
4. Bids and auction formats
An accepted bid commits you under disclosed event/item conditions, subject to applicable law and authorized correction/cancellation. A typed amount, pending request or animation is not acceptance; check the confirmed result before retrying an uncertain request.
Silent, live and hybrid formats use their configured schedules, increments, reserves, proxy maximums and anti-snipe extensions. Committed server records determine acceptance and closing. Equal offers have no guaranteed first-click/network-arrival priority. A proxy maximum authorizes bidding within its limit and does not guarantee a win.
Hybrid events can carry silent bids into live bidding. Buy Now can charge immediately. Fundraising/contribution lots can create a purchase for each accepted contribution rather than one highest-bidder award. Review the item type before committing.
Organizers may pause live bidding, record floor offers and make authorized corrections/cancellations. Recording a floor bid does not charge a card or prove cash collection. Contact the organizer about a mistake; self-service bid cancellation is not promised.
5. Cards, holds and seller payouts
Stripe collects payment details and verifies connected sellers. Online bidding may require a temporary card authorization. A hold is not a completed payment; release depends on the issuer, Stripe and payment state. Buy Now, live item close or finalization may collect payment under the event rules.
A card can require authentication or fail after an award. Pending, unpaid, refunded or disputed purchases must not be treated as paid pickup. Follow recovery instructions and contact support about uncertain payment status.
The reviewed direct seller-payment setup records card proceeds/processing charges on the seller’s connected Stripe account and applies OutbidX’s platform fee where supported. Stripe controls verification, fund availability and payout timing. OutbidX is not escrow and guarantees no payout date. Organizers collect in-person cash separately; cash records do not move funds through Stripe.
6. Fees and subscription management
Current prices are CAD. Starter has no monthly subscription, one active auction and ten items maximum; successful card-sale platform fees are 10% plus CAD $1. Pro is CAD $29/month with 6% plus CAD $0.75 per successful card sale; Elite is CAD $99/month with 4% plus CAD $0.50. Processing costs apply separately. Current pricing/checkout shows the applicable offer and disclosed taxes.
Paid subscriptions renew on the interval shown at checkout until cancelled. Use Billing → Manage subscription, payments and invoices; verify the confirmed cancellation/effective date. Signing out or uninstalling does not cancel. Period-end cancellation does not automatically refund prior charges.
Estimates exclude monthly costs and are not guaranteed processing quotes. Floor cash records do not automatically deduct a platform fee. Refund and fee-reversal outcomes depend on payment records, provider rules and applicable law. Changes to prices do not silently rewrite recorded purchases.
7. Taxes and charitable documents
Organizers must configure/disclose tax treatment before bidding. Configured bid/Buy Now prices include recorded taxes. Unconfigured or legacy receipts do not prove no tax is due. Organizers remain responsible for registrations, remittances and legally required invoice information.
A purchase receipt, donation label or charity-review flag is not an official Canadian donation receipt or US charitable acknowledgment and does not establish deductibility. An eligible issuer must verify any gift, benefits, donor and applicable requirements before providing a separate document. Test payments are not donations.
8. Pickup, vouchers and delivery
Read pickup hours, location, identity requirements, voucher restrictions and shipping arrangements before bidding. A pickup code is a collection credential; keep it private and use it only with authorized staff. It does not permit release of an unpaid purchase.
Organizers handle availability, condition, redemption and delivery. If collection is impossible or an item materially differs from its description, contact the organizer and retain listings, receipts and messages. Missing a pickup deadline does not automatically remove legal refund rights.
9. Cancellations, refunds and disputes
Seller conditions and applicable consumer law govern item return/cancellation requests. No platform-wide “all sales final” rule overrides legal rights. Read the refunds and cancellations guide to distinguish holds, refunds and disputes.
Contact the organizer about goods/events and OutbidX about account/platform/payment-record problems. Provide auction/purchase references, dates and the issue, not full card details. A promised refund is not complete until its recorded/provider outcome confirms it. Lawful issuer or regulator complaint rights are not waived.
10. Acceptable use and content
Do not use the service for unlawful sales, deceptive fundraising, counterfeit/stolen goods, shill bidding, price manipulation, harassment, malicious uploads, unauthorized scraping or attacks. Do not publish another person’s private information without permission.
Regulated goods/activities need appropriate authority and platform/provider permission. Ordinary listings must not bypass restrictions on securities, gambling, raffles or restricted transactions. OutbidX does not provide vehicle title transfer, escrow, licensed appraisal or regulated-auction compliance services.
You retain rights in your content and permit OutbidX to store/process/display it as needed for your event and the service. Obtain permissions for listings, photos, logos and donor material. Sample screens and promotional imagery are illustrative, not inventory or guaranteed fundraising results.
11. AI and delegated actions
AI tools act only under permissions actually granted; they cannot bypass account access, seller verification or approval. Review their descriptions, prices, tax suggestions and imports. You remain responsible for authorized, accurate content.
The current anonymous planner prepares offline listings/checklists, not automatic Stripe connections, auction publishing or bids. Any future authenticated connection must disclose scope and obtain authorization. Never supply passwords, secret Stripe keys or full card/bank credentials.
12. Availability, corrections and suspension
Service and third-party networks can be delayed or unavailable. Alerts/countdowns can lag; check confirmed state. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted access, bid admission, audience size, price, fundraising totals or device compatibility.
We may investigate abuse, correct operational errors or limit/suspend access where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance or service integrity. Where appropriate, we explain the action and offer support contact. Suspension does not erase completed purchases or unresolved obligations.
13. Responsibility and mandatory rights
Organizers are responsible for listings/fulfillment, participants for authorized commitments and OutbidX for its service under these terms and applicable law. We do not provide legal, tax or investment advice.
Where law permits, the platform is provided as available without a promise to meet every event requirement. Nothing excludes non-waivable consumer/privacy rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including required refunds and protections relating to fraud. These terms impose no mandatory arbitration or waiver of lawful court/regulator access.
14. Changes and reporting
The date identifies this version. Revisions appear here, with notice or agreement where required for material changes. Changes do not retroactively remove non-waivable rights or silently change recorded sale conditions.
Use Contact support or support@outbidx.com for account, privacy, safety, accessibility or payment-record concerns. Start with the organizer for event-specific issues. Keep your request records; response times are not guaranteed.
